Who these lessons are for?

Looking for clear guidance and a structured path, rather than figuring everything out alone

Balancing a busy professional life but still want to make meaningful progress

Your first 12 Weeks on the piano

When you begin lessons, we follow a personalised 12-week learning plan based on your experience level and musical interests.

You won’t need to figure out what to practise or how to move forward.
Each lesson builds on the previous one, and you’ll always leave with a clear plan for the week ahead

① Foundations

Weeks 1-4

• correct posture and hand position
• understanding the keyboard
• reading simple notation
• learning your first short piece

② Technique & Repertoire

Weeks 5-8

• finger coordination and hand independence
• simple scales and exercises
• expanding reading skills
• playing a complete piece with both hands

③ Musical Confidence

Weeks 9-12

• playing comfortably with both hands
• using dynamics and expression
• following a clear weekly practice plan
• performing 1–2 complete pieces

By the end of the first 12 weeks, many adult students are able to play two complete pieces with both hands, read basic sheet music, maintain steady rhythm and timing, and develop the confidence to practise independently using a clear structure.

What other adults say…

I recommend Gauri, so strongly, to anyone who is looking to pick up piano.

-Edmund, US

I would like to recommend Gauri as a piano teacher to anyone who’s looking to learn piano. I really like how she pushes me to meet challenges but never in a mean way, always kindly.

-Keira, US

Gauri’s lessons are fun and engaging. I get to work on a variety of pieces- classical, Bollywood, pop music.

-Neelima, US

I really enjoyed having a clear focus and goals to work towards. I also enjoyed playing songs I grew up loving- playing them makes me happy.

-Laura, US

Meet Gauri,

your instructor

Graduate of A. R. Rahman’s music conservatory & University of Huddersfield

Pianoroom began with a simple idea: learning piano should feel structured, achievable, and enjoyable- even with a busy life. As a child, I loved music deeply, often spending hours figuring out melodies on a keyboard. But consistent lessons weren’t always possible. Teachers changed, schedules shifted, and like many learners, I eventually stopped- not because the interest disappeared, but because the structure around it did. Years later, when I returned to music seriously, I realised something important: the challenge for most learners isn’t talent- it’s having the right guidance and structure.

I later completed my diploma at KM Music Conservatory and earned a Bachelor of Music (BMus) from the University of Huddersfield. Today, I teach adult students from a wide range of professional backgrounds who want a clear, structured path to learning piano. Pianoroom exists to make that journey consistent, thoughtful, and rewarding.
